The Internet phenomenon has become increasingly more important and useful to our daily lives. And the small business and home business know have a powerful tool in the Internet, to affordably and effectively market products and services. To be successful it is often helpful to mirror the practices of the successful. In the case of marketing a small business, bigger companies with lots of money and research departments have done a lot of the marketing strategy building already. The issue at hand is to build a strong, consistent, coherent and insightful Internet presence that your consumer will emotionally bond with and will begin to consistently identify the product or service with your brand.
This is called Branding, and successful branding is crucial to establishing a profitable Internet marketing strategy.
The clarity of your mission statement, your defining features, is were your brand lies. In marketing terms your Unique Selling Point (USP), the one thing that separates you from your competition is what you use to describe you. This is helpful to your profit line in several ways. A clearly defined USP develops focus and direction in any company large or small.
The online consumer has become accustom to being engaged by there Internet. This has been labeled Web 2.0, for those new to the Internet; Facebook, blogging, wikipedia, delicious etc. are examples of this, highly interactive and supportive of personal opinion. To get an understanding of what could possibly make a customer choose you over your competition is your first task. Internet commerce has an added obstacle in this desired bonding with your customer base, the animinity. Building trust online is also a reason and a necessity of forming a strong brand.

The Internet Lifestyle
I love the Internet! More specifically I love the ability to work at home and at the hours that I choose. And I actually really enjoy the process of Internet Marketing. The thrill of pinging a freshly posted blog, the satisfaction of hitting the top spot in your keyword,but we will get to that. Beware it’s addictive!
In my situation, I was living in a rural economically depressed area, unemployed, and expecting my third child. I had owned a Travel and Tour Company but had not been able bounce back from 9/11 and I really wanted to somehow be a stay- at- home Dad. The Internet already played a huge role in my life as it does in many households today. Mainly as a source of music, movies, information and of course e-mail. So I turned to Google for the answers and came across Global Travel International, a fully supported Home Travel Agency business with training and resources, complete with website. For the first time I realized the awesome potential of the Internet as a source of income. But it gets better, this plan to start a Internet home business provided financial freedom and the ability to work at home, on my schedule and to top it all off, in the field of my choice.
Absolutely fantastic! I was a instant Internet Marketer. The possibilities are limitless, witch leads to one of the keys of a fulfilling life.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
You can be what ever you always dreamed of being. Job satisfaction is crucial to happy living, Making money at something you love makes it easy to get up in the morning. I wanted to stay in the Travel industry and I needed to work at home and be my own boss. I had stumbled on to a Internet Marketing secret, that there is a lot of money to be made in people’s interests. I now know that to be Niche Marketing.
You either are, or can become a expert in any industry. The Internet fosters networking and you can find chat rooms, forums, newsletters, blogs and information sites on just about any interest. This is the heart of the Internet Marketing world. The marketing strategies using online social groups like Myspace and Tagworld are fun and vibrant and “blogging” and “podcasting” are approaching cult status. I now have websites,blogs,newsletters and write articles on Golf, Lifestyle , Luxury Living and Internet Marketing. I’m living my dream life!
But, it didn’t happen overnight. It has been quite the quest. Three things happened.
New Beginnings
It’s a jungle out there! But in my search for a guide I found there was excellent online courses in exactly how to start and implement a Internet Home Business. I discovered SFI and the solid ground work was set to make money online.
The second thing that changed my financial life, was attending a two day Internet Marketing Bootcamp by Derek Gehl of the Internet Marketing Center. And then low and behold, a marketer named Stone Evans came along with a system that tied it all together! The incredible Pluginprofitsite and his “30 Days To Success” system. By the time you get this far, you are making money from Adsense, writing articles, creating joint ventures etc. Basically practicing every solid Internet Marketing tactic needed. Good things come in Three’s.

In conclusion I just want to say this is a very simple start but powerful. This is not a sales job, but a autobiography, a journal of how I gained independence, and did I mention that I love the Internet!
